Where the museum's tiles were made.
İznik ceramics are part of the collection of the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) in Doha. A 2003 Qatar Museums publication drew on pieces from this collection to trace more than 200 years of İznik pottery production.
A visitor who looks at an İznik dish in the museum can see the remains of the kilns that fired such dishes in İznik itself.

Summer temperatures in Doha easily pass 40 °C. İznik is a lakeside country town among olive groves and vineyards, where the evenings cool down.
May to June and September to October are the easiest months to visit.
